Filtering is done for the specific purpose of removing suspended solids. A side benefit derived from the particular filters employed in this system is that much of the dissolved solids and biological bodies are removed as well. Filtration units are matched to the shop in which they are to be used. Designed for continuous, unattended operation, these units may service up to 30 machines. The number of machines handled per unit depends on the types of systems, fluids being used, and on the machining operations being performed.

Model 117A

Designed to keep suspended solids to a minimum, BioTech's portable filtration system filters any metalworking fluid.   Each filter cart is matched to the individual shop configuration. Fluid is serviced in the sump, allowing for no down time.  Can also be used for filtering fluids other than those for metalworking.  Filter bags range in size from one micron to 100 microns.  Units are air or electric driven.
