Zero Waste

Never throw away Metal Working fluids:

A simple 15 minute bacteria test with the HMB IV Bacteria Tester gives answers needed to treat a system NOW.  The Zero WasteTM Program Coupled with Mark II Stabilizer  can make coolant sumps worry free from bacteria indefinitely.    Send an Email with any questions.

"0" Waste, a simple maintenance program for water based metalworking fluids, is designed to eliminate the need for disposal of spoiled coolant, leaving tramp oils and filter elements as the only waste items for which disposal is required. This simple system consists of filtering, testing, treatment, and record keeping.

Metalworking fluids are vulnerable to contamination by microorganisms. When infected, the performance of the fluid is greatly diminished. This diminishing is manifested in a lowering of product quality, a shortening of the useful life of the tooling and in presenting a hazard to the workers.

Once the fluids have been allowed to deteriorate beyond a certain level of contamination, no amount of additives will resurrect the original properties. The system must be drained, cleaned and recharged - an expensive operation. More important though, is the disposal of the discarded fluid. The problem of disposal is a very expensive proposition as states regulate more and more closely the hazardous nature of the chemicals to be dumped. Regulations which apply to the discarding of metalworking fluids are being enforced as environmental issues are asserted more prominently in the political arena. Using the simple steps in the BioTech "0" Waste System, these problems can be eliminated.
